Volunteering is an opportunity to grow, and train for, an altruistic human awareness. Students can give their time to serve others while discovering how much they receive back in return.
As part of “Social Intelligence” program, residents collaborate with “Il Granello foundation”, a educational-rehabilitation center, and every year Peschiere organizes “Aggiungi 200 posti a tavola” in collaboration with Comunità di Sant’Egidio. In this occasion the beautiful garden of the residence becomes a place of fun and welcoming for about 200 lonely, poor or marginalized people.
Every year Peschiere’s students spend part of their summer vacations volunteering abroad.
Since 1999 Rui Foundation has been promoting a work camp for undergraduates in Nicaragua. Every summer our students offer an important help to the local population.
Since 1993 Rui’s residents have also been working with the Romania WorkCamp, an action born from the desire of Italian students to help people living in poverty or disadvantaged situations.
There is no shortage of sports activities in the daily life at the Residence in particular in the beautiful spacious garden. There is also a futsal pitch!
Moreover, concerts, conferences and congresses make Peschiere’s hall a place where, every year art, music, literature come together.
The party with residents’ families in May and the traditional concert are among the most significant events that take place every year.
Peschiere is a place where passion for every dimension of human nature is stimulated, with the genuine university spirit: open to truth and respectful of everyone’s freedom.
The Hall of Residence provides the opportunity to confront important questions about human existence.
Peschiere follows some traditions that every Christian family does and we celebrate the Holy Mass. The chaplain is available to all students.
Participation in these activities is always voluntary and the Residence is open to students of any religious denomination.
